DutiesExaminers are responsible for assessing candidates during College-administered examinations in accordance with the mandated exam blueprint. They are responsible for strict adherence to examination procedures and applying scoring tools as outlined in the training materials and pre‑exam orientation sessions.
Work VolumeAn exam day typically runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and examiners are required to submit all grades by the end of the day. A virtual pre‑exam training session is provided in advance of each exam session, and examiners are compensated for attending this training.
CompensationAs set out in the Council’s Per Diem Policy.  
Knowledge baseStrong working knowledge of the scope of practice of naturopathy in Ontario. A commitment to high professional standards, integrity, and impartiality. Strong oral communication skills.  Experience with standardized evaluation methods and scoring tools is an asset.
DisqualificationsThe following individuals would be disqualified from being appointed to this role: Individuals employed as an administrative faculty member or instructor at a naturopathic educational program (teaching assistants and clinic supervisors are exempted). Due to potential conflicts of interest, Examiners should not be involved in the development, maintenance or administration of exam preparatory courses related to the Ontario Clinical (Practical) Examination and the Ontario IVIT Examination, or with the development of naturopathic examination content for examining boards or similar bodies.
