Council of the College
The Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario is our organisation’s Board of Directors. It exists to serve and protect the public interest by ensuring safe, ethical, and competent naturopathic care in our province.
There are 15 positions on the Council. Eight are Registrants of the College (naturopathic doctors) elected by other Registrants in each of the eight districts. The remaining seven are members of the public appointed by the Government of Ontario. Find out about the elections process on this page.
Like any Board of Directors, the Council has three main roles:
- ensure that the College fulfills its mandate set out in legislation;
- set the strategic directions of the College and monitor its performance; and
- appoint a Chief Executive Office and monitor their performance against agreed upon priorities.
