Health Profession Advertising in the Age of Social Media

Social media has proven, time and again, that it is a powerful advertising tool. This session of the College’s Regulatory Education Program (REP) focused on advertising by healthcare professionals and activities related to social media. It answered important questions about the rules that governed this area at the time, while suggesting ways to navigate effectively in a constantly changing environment. Case studies that had been resolved and managed as part of the complaints process were also examined. These cases provided a basis for reflection on current best practices to adopt and offered valuable learning opportunities for registrants.
