Currency Requirements and Practising the Profession 2.0

The Currency 2.0 session, held on January 29, 2026, as part of the College’s Regulatory Education Program (REP), examined the currency requirements registrants must meet for Annual Renewal Registration. The session was built on the 2025 currency webinar and focused on the obligations set out in the Registration Regulation and Registration Program Policy.

Participants explored how to accurately report currency hours and activities, which naturopathic activities qualified as direct patient care, and the options available to address deficiencies identified through the annual audit. The session clarified the requirements for each class of registration – and outlined the types of evidence registrants were required to provide to substantiate reported hours.

Key takeaways included:

  • How registrants correctly reported and tracked currency hours and activities.
  • Gain a better understanding of direct patient care requirements as they relate to currency.
  • Guidance on how to address currency deficiencies.
