Issuance of a Certificate of Registration
This final step is intended to reduce the challenges of purchasing professional liability insurance and eliminate the unnecessary cost of carrying the insurance before you are able to practice.
Once eligible for Step 3, you will receive email notice from the College which can be provided to insurance brokers for obtaining professional liability insurance.
The registration fee for the 2020 registration year is $965.40 (+ HST). This is billed at the point you become eligible for Step 3.
For those applying for their initial certification of registration with the College, the fees are prorated by the date the certificate of registration is issued. Note that the date of application does not necessarily predict registration date.
All fees are subject to HST and fees for the first year of registration are broken down as follows:
|• Applicants registered from March 1 to June 30 pay 100% of fees:||$965.40 + HST|
|• Applicants registered from July 1 to September 30 pay 75% of fees:||$724.05 + HST|
|• Applicants registered from October 1 to December 31 pay 50% of fees:||$482.70 + HST|
|• Applicants registered from January 1 to February 28 pay 25% of fees:||$241.35 + HST|
You must provide a recent passport-sized photograph to the College, which will be displayed on your profile on the Public Register. Your photo must be sent with, and adhere to the requirements noted on the Photo Submission Form.
As the photo must be mailed or delivered to the College, it can be submitted in advance of completing the registration process.
Note: photo and photo form submissions which do not adhere to the requirements will cause delays in completing the registration process. Please review before you submit.
