Andrew Parr, CAE

CEO

Chief Executive Officer of the College, fulfilling the responsibilities set under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 and the Naturopathy Act, 2007. These activities are conducted within the legislated objectives of the College, and with the duty to serve and protect the public interest. The CEO also: assists the College Council in its established governance structure, provides leadership, direction and guidance to the College on governance-related issues, supports the development and implementation of regulations, by-laws and policies under direction of the Council, ensures good management and fiscal practices, including oversight and responsibility for the annual operating, capital and cash budgets, and provides reports to the Ministry of Health (MoH) on activities of the Council and College.

Administrative Assistant, Operations

The Administrative Assistant, Operations provides administrative support for general operations, accounting, human resources and IT programs.

Finance & Administrative Officer

Supports the Director of Operations in meeting the College's financial responsibilities as well as managing and overseeing the policies and procedures relating to College finances. Provides support to the Audit Committee of the College.

Director, Communications and Lead, Community Engagement

Oversees communications and stakeholder engagement strategies and programs, including publications and the College website.

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for leading all communications activities of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, including but not necessarily limited to the Colleges’ print and electronic communication, website and adherence to brand standards.

Public Relations Officer

The Public Relations Officer is responsible for promoting a positive College image and leading on all public relations activities of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, including but not necessarily limited to public awareness campaigns, general public relations and social media activities.

Registration & Examinations

Erica Laugalys

Director, Registration & Examinations

Responsible for managing and overseeing the initial registration process, delivery and development of College examinations, the College's Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Program and registration processes related to annual dues and information returns, professional corporations and class changes. Provides support to the Registration, Exam Development and Exam Appeals Committees.

Manager, Registration

Manages and leads registration processes, including but not limited to collection of annual fees, annual information return, class change requests, professional corporations, applications for registration and maintains the College’s Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) program. Provides support to the development and implementation of the policies and procedures governing the processes and provides Registration Committee and department support.

Registration Coordinator

Provides administrative and strategic support to the College's Registration program area, including assisting in the administration of the College's annual renewal process, and processing Registrant-related applications.

Entry-to-Practise Coordinator

Responsible for providing ongoing support on all matters related to entry-to-practise and the College’s Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) program.

The Examination Coordinator is responsible for providing on-going support to the Senior Coordinator on all matters related to examinations, approved and/or administered by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Professional Practice

Jeremy Quesnelle

Deputy CEO

Responsible for managing and delivering the Quality Assurance, Patient Relations and the Investigations, Complaints and Reports processes. Oversees the development and review of policies, standards and guidelines to help Registrants comply with their legislative responsibilities. Provides support to the Quality Assurance and Patient Relations Committees as well as the ICRC.

Administrative Assistant, Regulatory Programs

The Administrative Assistant has a primary focus of supporting the day to day activities of the Deputy CEO and the Professional Conduct and Professional Practice regulatory departments. This role supports governance and strategic operations through effective and efficient processes.

Dr. Mary-Ellen McKenna, ND (Inactive)

Manager, Professional Practice

Educates Registrants, stakeholders and the public on the regulation of the profession under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 and the Naturopathy Act, 2007. Guides Registrants who have questions about the legislation, regulations, Standards of Practice, Guidelines and policies of the College, as they relate to practice issues. Answers questions from the public about the practice of naturopathy in Ontario.

Manager, Professional Conduct

Manages the Complaints and Discipline Programs and provides support to the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC), Discipline Committee and Fitness to Practise Committee. Also the first point of contact for filing a complaint against a Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario.

Daniella Abate

Coordinator, Professional Practice

To coordinate and provide strategic support to the Manager, Professional Practice and the Deputy CEO in the Quality Assurance (QA) Program, as well as in the Inspection Program of the College. The Coordinator will coordinate the day to day deliverables of these programs to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Rebecca McBride

Coordinator, Professional Conduct

To coordinate and provide strategic support to the Manager, Professional Conduct and the Deputy CEO in the Inquires, Complaints and Reports Program, as well as in the Discipline Program of the College. The Coordinator will coordinate the day to day deliverables of these programs to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Languages spoken:

In addition to English, some staff at the College will be able to assist the public in a variety of other languages, including German, Farsi, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese. The College will also receive translation support for individuals who are unable to speak any of these languages listed.
