Examination Accommodations

In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, the College considers all requests for accommodation received from any individual registered to sit a College examination to ensure they are provided with a fair opportunity to complete the exam.  Accommodation(s) are made on an individual basis and reflect the nature and extent of the identified need.

How to make an examination accommodation request

To request accommodation(s), the following steps must be taken by the exam’s accommodation request deadline (as noted on the exam’s Fees and Schedule page):

  1. Submit the Exam Accommodation Request form.
  2. Ensure required supporting documentation, such as the Health Professional Recommendation Form or letter from your Religious Leader, has been submitted.

If requesting accommodations for multiple exams, your request and supporting documentation must be submitted by the exam registration deadline for the earliest occurring exam.

Receipt of the Accommodation Decision

You will be notified of the College’s decision on your accommodation request within 30 calendar days of receipt of all required documentation unless additional information is required to gather additional information and review your request; in such instances, you will be apprised of the revised timeframe. Requests received after the exam accommodation request deadline cannot be granted.
