Request for Proposals: Regulatory Education Program Sessions

Posted On: January 26, 2023

On January 25, 2023, the Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (the College) approved a new Strategic Plan which establishes the strategic objectives and priorities for the next four-years (2023-2027). Two overall objectives and a series of related priorities set by the Council speak to strengthening engagement of stakeholders through education and collaboration.

In support of the Council’s Strategic Plan, we will be launching a new Regulatory Education Program in the new fiscal year beginning in April 2023. This program will provide Registrants, in particular, but also members of the public with access to free educational programming related to the regulations and standards of practice governing naturopathic doctors in Ontario.

In recent months, Registrants have been asking us to provide them with information about the regulations and standards to help them understand what is necessary to provide professional, ethical and accountable naturopathic services that minimizes public mistrust. Many Registrants have clearly identified that public confidence in the profession is heightened by good regulation that protects patients.

In support of this new program, we are issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) from interested persons to develop and deliver individual education sessions. This RFP process is open to anyone interested in supporting this program

A copy of the RFP is provided below. In it, you will see several topics that the College is interested in seeing as a part of this program; however, this is not a finite list, and we are open to other topics as well. Since this is an open call for proposals, we will be following a set process and schedule as follows:

Date Step in Process
February 10, 2023 Individuals intending to submit a proposal are asked to e-mail the College to indicate their intent by this date.
February 17, 2023 Any questions about the RFP or the program are to be submitted by this date. The questions and answers will be shared with everyone who has indicated that they intend to submit a proposal.
February 21, 2023 The College will provide answers to all questions received to all individuals who have indicated that they intend to submit a proposal.
March 13, 2023 All proposals must be received electronically by the College by this date.

A link to the complete RFP can be found here.

We have also created an on-line submission form to receive proposals.

The College will meet with some, or all, of the individuals who submit proposals and will then finalize the program, presenters and dates by the end of March 2023.

We look forward to launching this new, innovative, and exciting program in April 2023!
