Mark your calendar! Registration renewal opens 9 a.m. ET on February 13, 2026

Posted On: November 26, 2025

All registrants are responsible for renewing their annual registration by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. ET on March 31, 2026.

Renewal includes completing the online Information Return Form and paying your annual registration fee. The renewal fee can only be paid after successful submission of the online Information Return Form and not renewing on time will result in additional fees and being sent a Notice of Intent to Suspend.

Fees for the 2026-27 registration year will be announced and be posted to our website by mid-January 2026. The announcement will include details about the Payment Plan Program, which will once again be offered to registrants who wish to pay their annual renewal fee in 10 installments rather than in one lump sum. Enrolment is only available by completing the online Information Return Form.

If you require an accommodation (e.g., due to a disability) to complete the annual renewal, your request along with supporting documentation must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on March 2, 2026. To submit an accommodation request, see Registration Accommodation Request Form , in addition to the Health Professional Recommendation Form,  which must be completed by a regulated health care professional. He/she must have, or have had, a patient/practitioner relation with you and must also be qualified to make an assessment of your condition and can speak for your need for accommodation.

Things to do now

Insurance—Make sure your professional liability insurance (PLI) is always up to date to avoid being unnecessarily suspended and having to pay a reinstatement fee. If your PLI expires April 1st, consider starting the PLI renewal process early with your broker to avoid delays. Insurance providers must be licensed as an insurer with The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario – FSRA (formerly Financial Services Commissioner of Ontario) or a body outside of Ontario considered substantially equivalent to the FSRA.

☐ Currency information— Practise hours and activities are reviewed annually and will be audited by the College to ensure registrants in the General class meet the minimum requirements as set out in section 6 of the Registration Regulation. To ensure you input accurate hours on your Information Return Form, we recommend gathering information about your 2025 practise hours now. For additional information regarding currency, including activities which may be included as part of practise hour reporting for registrants holding a General class certificate of registration, please refer to our Registration Policy, and the Currency page of our website and consider attending our upcoming January 29, 2026, Regulatory Education Program session on Currency.

☐ CPR —Make sure your CPR certificate is up to date. Registrants in the General class must have valid, healthcare provider-level (HCP) CPR certification OR its equivalent which is currently Basic Life Support with AED (BLS with AED), renewed in-person every two years.

☐ Class change—If seeking to renew in a different class of registration, your class change request and supporting documentation must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. ET on March 13, 2026. The change of registration class application forms can be completed and submitted online on our website. Registrants requesting a class change, must not start or complete the online Information Return Form until confirmation of the class change has been issued. Registrants that complete the online Information Return Form will not be issued a refund of the annual registration renewal fee upon completing a class change.

☐ Resignation – During Registration Renewal, registrants may resign their registration; however, the request and all supporting documents must be received no more than 10 business days before the end of the renewal period on March 31 annually (if the resignation is to take effect before renewal closes on March 31). If you submit a request to resign after renewal closes, or request a resignation effective date after March 31, you will be required to pay your registration fee for the year and complete the information return form before resigning.

☐ Other changes—If you’ve moved, changed practice locations, or if any of your contact information has changed, you are responsible for logging into your account and updating your profile. Ensuring your information is up to date prior to renewal will make registration renewal a faster and easier process.
