Therapeutic Prescribing Standard Data Collection & Reporting

Data Relating to the Therapeutic Prescribing Standard (TPS)

In 2024, the College announced that beginning in 2025, it would be requiring registrants, who have met the Standard of Practice for Prescribing, to collect data relating to the drugs they prescribe, dispense, compound or sell and substances that they administer by injection or inhalation. That data includes the numbers of drugs and substances used in practise, the number of adverse reactions, and the nature of the reactions. No specifics about which drugs or substances were administered and no specific patient information is required.

As we near the end of 2025, and the first year of data collection, we will be contacting registrants with information about how to submit their data to the College.  Registrants are reminded that this is an annual process and that data needs to be collected for each calendar year and submitted to the College annually.

CoNO Support System for TPS Data

In launching the new TPS data collection requirements, the College also launched a Support System for collecting this data. As we head into 2026, the College is once again offering its support system to all interested registrants. You can enroll in the Support System for TPS data by completing this online form.
