Exam cancellation warning

Posted On: November 24, 2020

This is an important message regarding the upcoming examinations in December 2020.

Information regarding the postponement has been posted with the IVIT exam information on our website. Candidates registered for this session will be receiving direct correspondence with instructions for obtaining a refund of the exam fee.

Ontario’s COVID-19 cases are steadily climbing as we enter a second wave, as demonstrated with released daily case counts. The province of Ontario has accordingly instituted lockdowns in the Toronto and Peel regions, prohibiting mixed public gatherings from different households. The College is thus unable to deliver its examinations until well after these restrictions are lifted.

“The College regrets that we are now in the position of having to once again cancel some examinations,” said Andrew Parr, Chief Executive Officer of the College. “The continuing rise of COVID-19 cases is cause for serious concern and the College is obligated to take all steps possible to protect its staff, examination volunteers and examination candidates.”

We know that this has been a challenging year for many, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.
