As a part of its mandate, the College of Naturopaths of Ontario develops (or amends) regulations, policies, standards and practice guidelines necessary to regulate the profession in the public interest.

The development process includes a consultation period during which we seek the feedback of stakeholders, including Members of the profession, the public, other health regulatory colleges, professional associations, and educators in order to understand the effectiveness and impact on the public and the profession.

The feedback the College receives from these consultation processes allows us to review the work that has been completed to-date to ensure that we have met our public interest mandate.

Comments received during a consultation process are reviewed by the appropriate Committee of the College and by the Council as part of the decision making process.  All feedback is carefully considered, even that which is not reflected in the final regulation, policy, standard etc.
