Draft Professional Misconduct Regulation

The draft Professional Misconduct Regulation will create a framework for the professional practice of Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario by defining what will constitute professional misconduct by members of the profession. The provisions found in the draft Professional Misconduct Regulation are consistent with other regulated health professions and are intended to ensure that members of the profession have the knowledge, skill and judgment necessary to provide safe and effective care.

On December 14, 2011, the transitional Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario approved the final drafts of the Regulations and on December 19, 2011, one day in advance of the target date established by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the draft Professional Misconduct Regulation was submitted for review and approval.
