2017 Election Results and Changes to Council
(Toronto, ON) - In December 2016, the College of Naturopaths of Ontario initiated the 2017 elections for Districts 7 and 8 as required under the by-laws, by issuing a Call for Nominations to the Members in these Districts.
At the close of nominations, the College had received one nomination from a Member in District 7 and no nominations for District 8. This resulted in two immediate outcomes. First, no voting was required in District 7 and the nominee has been elected by acclamation. Second, on January 31, 2017 a Supplemental Election, as required in the by-laws, was initiated through the release of a new Call for Nominations in District 8.
At the close of the Supplemental Call for Nominations in District 8, one nomination had been received. As a result, no voting was required to be conducted in District 8 in order to fill the vacancy on the Council.
On behalf of the Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, I am pleased to announce the election results for Districts 7 and 8.
District 7 (East)
